Automatic Process Control Systems

APCS automatic process control systems developed by the association implement the following functions:

● control and monitoring of equipment condition and process operating parameters in the volume enough to do qualitative regulation of beneficiation process and take reasoned decision by operating personnel;

● process operating parameters visualization;
● repetitive saving of both measured and control parameters of technical process as well as operating personnel actions on process control in process database;
● current and archival data generation and output regarding process condition and changing, control system technical facilities condition and operating personnel actions;
● making it possible to input data into process data system by engineering and process staff of the plant from workplace;
● process analytics, including analysis of dependence between control and disturbing factors and parameters of technical process;
● Pre-emergency and emergency diagnostics based upon both information received directly from controlled object and indirectly calculated parameters or logically determined situations.

With regard to tasks the system provides:

● independent and dependent automatic control of process parameters enabling an Operator to change for manual control mode for any controlled parameter;
● continuous centralized automated process control from Operator Automated Workstation by changing tasks for controllers and optimizing programs, limiting set points, manual control of actuating mechanisms and process equipment;
● logical control, including start/stop control, chain of vessels connected along the process flow;
● influence on controlled object subsequent to the results of emergency diagnostics (automatic shutdown, start, equipment switching, automatic change of tasks, settings, controller working modes, etc.);

In comparison with famous technical solutions our projects have the following advantages:

● open interface for development and inclusion of new process optimization tasks into the system;

● unitized standard interface for integration with automated systems made by other manufacturers with the aim to exchange data and commands with them;

● flexible, user-friendly, reliable and intuitive system of configuration and setting up of integrated typical functions (primary processing of parameters, controllers or control systems, logical problems, optimization tasks, etc.) in process control mode;
● possibility to raise the quantity of input/output channels (using back-up I/O channels) and controllers in process control mode (without system shutdown).

Operator work stations (OWS)

Technical equipment of operator includes high-performance computers, visualization and printing systems, process database server, network equipment to connect with all subscribers, uninterruptible power supply systems.

Operator work station OWS is intended for implementation of the following functions:

• control of flotation process parameters and equipment condition  in the volume enough to do qualitative regulation of beneficiation process and take reasoned decision by operating personnel;

• process operating parameters visualization;

• repetitive saving of both measured and control parameters of technical process as well as operating personnel actions on process control in process database;
• making it possible to input data into process data system by engineering and process staff of the plant from workplace;
• automatic calculation and generation of report forms established at the plant as well as documents and location of generated electronic documents on the server in order to provide access to them for engineers and process staff as well as for administration and management staff of the plant from System work stations;

• generation of process report archive;

• Pre-emergency and emergency diagnostics based upon both information received directly from controlled object and indirectly calculated parameters or logically determined situations;

• independent and interacting automatic control of process parameters including providing possibility to change to manual control mode regarding any controlled parameter to Operator;

• continuous centralized automatic process control from Operator work station by means of changing tasks for controllers, limiting set points, manual control of actuating mechanisms and process equipment.
